We offer hosted fly fishing trips across the Iowa Driftless Area, White River, Bighorn River, and the Lake Erie Tributaries. Each destination brings something different, from small spring creeks and technical tailwaters to large river systems and seasonal steelhead runs.

These are multi-day, hosted experiences that can include guided fly fishing, lodging, and additional outdoor activities depending on location. Whether you are walking small water in the Driftless, fishing big tailwater on the White or Bighorn, or chasing steelhead in the tributaries of Lake Erie, every trip is structured around current conditions, fish behavior, and your goals on the water.

Our lodge-style trips are designed for individuals, families, and small groups. Days are spent on the water with guided instruction focused on reading water, presentation, and adapting to changing environments. Evenings allow time to reset, share meals, and prepare for the next day.

Many of our hosted trips can include hiking, exploring waterfalls, mountain biking, and time off the water to experience the surrounding landscape. These elements are built into the trip to create a balanced experience that goes beyond a standard guide day.

Big Horn

Join First Watch Fly Co for a hosted fly fishing experience on the Bighorn River in Montana. Your trip begins with a flight into Billings, followed by a drive to Fort Smith, where we spend 2 to 4 days immersed in one of the most consistent trout fisheries in the country.

This trip is designed for small groups, families, or friends looking to fish productive water while building skill and confidence. From drift boat days to wade opportunities, we focus on reading big water, managing depth, and understanding the conditions that make the Bighorn so unique.

Everything is structured so you can focus on fishing, learning, and enjoying time on the water.

White River Experince

Lake Erie Steelhead

Steelhead trips are about more than the fish. They are about timing, conditions, and showing up ready when everything lines up.

With First Watch Fly Co, this hosted lodge-style experience on the Lake Erie Tributaries puts you in the right place at the right time. Spend your days walking tributaries, reading water, and targeting steelhead in their seasonal runs, then return to the lodge to reset, learn, and prepare for the next day.

This is built for individuals, friends, and groups who want to experience steelhead fishing the right way.
